Be Well: Benefits Education and Wellness Series

The Be Well education series helps provide employees with the tools necessary to make smarter health- and benefits-related decisions every day.

Navigating benefits and healthy living can be a challenge, especially when combined with the added pressures of the workplace. Georgia Tech’s Office of Human Resources is working to combat these challenges by offering free health, wellness and benefits education classes for Tech employees. Now in its thrid year, the Be Well education series helps provide employees with the tools necessary to make smarter health- and benefits-related decisions every day.

Taught by trained professionals, the Be Well topics range from healthy cooking demos to managing performance review stress. This initiative stemmed from the work of the President’s Family Friendly Task Force Policies. The task force was created to promote a balance between work, school and family responsibilities for Georgia Tech students and employees.

“I am most excited for the addition of nutritional programs to this year’s Be Well series,” said Brantley Eaton, work/life benefits specialist for the Office of Human Resources. “We continue to build upon popular programs from previous years and roll out new classes to attract a wider audience. Another focus this year is to garner employee feedback through surveys and plan next year’s workshops based on the results.”
