This week, the Student Government Association (SGA) is hosting SGA Week 2015.

From Oct. 26–30, events will take place on Tech Walk and across campus to show students what SGA has been working on and what they hope to accomplish in the next year. All members of the Georgia Tech community are welcome.

2015 SGA Week Schedule:

Monday celebrates Campus Services on Tech Walk from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This will include Campus Services, the Student Center, and Library Services sharing information, updates, and previews of their respective expansion plans. Additionally, Parking & Transportation Services will introduce the professor who created the bus prediction algorithm, and the Georgia Tech Police Department (GTPD) will bring police cars and highlight the new LiveSafe mobile app. At 5 p.m., GTPD will lead the Campus Safety Walk starting at the Engineered Biosystems Building. This annual event has students and administrators walk the campus at dusk to identify and discuss campus safety concerns.

Tuesday is focused on appreciating Tech faculty with Academic Affairs Day. Students will have the opportunity to “Thank a Teacher” on Tech Walk from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Wednesday encourages campus wellness by inviting students to take the Campus Inclusivity Pledge and have some fun with a photo booth. Students will also be chalking messages of encouragement around the Campanile.

Thursday recognizes SGA’s connection with the student body by offering coffee chats with students from the Undergraduate House of Representatives. Donuts and coffee will be provided. There will also be a panel discussion with SGA executives (time and location to be determined), and free SGA swag will be available from 10 a.m. to noon on Tech Walk.

Friday promotes Tech pride with Spirit Day. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., students can stop by SGA tables on Tech Walk to test their knowledge of traditions and facts during Tech Trivia hosted by the SGA Athletics Committee.
