Head of Human Resources Leaving Tech

M. Scott Morris, who has led Tech's Office of Human Resources since 2011, has been hired by the University of Colorado-Boulder.

M. Scott Morris, who has led Georgia Tech's Office of Human Resources since 2011, has announced he will be leaving to take a similar position at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

"I want to thank Scott for the effort and enthusiasm he brought to the role of chief human resources officer over the past four years," said Paul Strouts, vice president of Campus Services. "We will immediately initiate a national search to identify a candidate who can build upon the foundation he has laid."

Strouts has named Kim Harrington to serve as interim chief human resources officer during the transition. Harrington is currently director of the Student Center and a member of the Campus Services leadership team.

"During her 12 years on campus, Kim has proven to be a trusted administrator and colleague," Strouts said. "I am grateful for her willingness to take on this critical responsibility supporting the staff of Georgia Tech."
