Supreme Court Upholds Affirmative Action in Texas Case

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the University of Texas at Austin may consider race and ethnicity when deciding admissions to ensure a diverse student body.

The University System of Georgia is currently reviewing the Supreme Court’s decision in Fisher v. University of Texas. The Association of American Universities, of which Georgia Tech is a member, released a statement yesterday praising the ruling. Read that statement here.
