CHARLOTTE, N.C. – No. 7-seeded Georgia Tech baseball will play Pitt on Tuesday, May 24 at 11 a.m. and Louisville on Thursday, May 26 at 11 a.m. as part of Pool B in the ACC Tournament, the conference announced Sunday.
Winners of six straight, The Yellow Jackets (33-21, 15-15 ACC) will first play its fourth-consecutive game against the No. 11-seeded Panthers, having swept Pitt in the final regular-season league series. Members of different divisions, Georgia Tech and No. 2-seeded Louisville did not play in the regular season. The two teams have not faced off since pool play in the 2021 ACC Tournament when Tech was able to walk off the Cardinals in extra-innings to reach the semifinals.

Regional Sports Networks from across the conference footprint and across the nation will carry all 12 games on Tuesday through Friday. Saturday’s semifinals will be carried live on ACC Network, while Sunday’s noon championship game will be nationally televised by ESPN2. All games will also be available via ACC Network Extra (subject to blackout rules).
Georgia Tech’s games will also be carried on WREK 91.1 FM throughout the postseason.
Championship Notes:
- Georgia Tech is 82-66 (.562) all-time in the ACC Tournament – 73-61 (.555) in preliminary/pool play rounds and 9-4 (.692) in championship games;
- Georgia Tech has won nine ACC Tournament Titles and five under head coach Danny Hall (2000, 2003, 2005, 2012, 2014).

- Georgia Tech’s last four ACC series wins have come against then-No. 13 Florida State, North Carolina, then-No. 3 Miami and Pitt.
- Georgia Tech sported the second-toughest strength of schedule in the country (.5807) in the regular season with its opponents’ record sitting at a whopping 1657-1110. Tech faced the second-toughest schedule in the ACC (behind FSU’s .5816).
- In the RPI, a key metric for determining postseason seeding and overall performance, Georgia Tech catapulted into No. 21 overall, having won six-straight to close the season – its most heading into the postseason since the Jackets won 17 straight in 2004.
- Only five teams in the country have more wins against top-50 RPI teams than Georgia Tech’s 15 — No. 1 Tennessee (19), Louisville, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas A&M (16).
- Inside the top-25 RPI, Georgia Tech has played an impressive 20 opponents, while just 16 of Tennessee’s are currently ranked 25 or better.
- Unsurprisingly, Georgia Tech has played the second-most games against top-50 RPI teams in the country at a whopping 31. Only North Carolina has more at 32.
- Georgia Tech has won all three series against top-10 RPI teams (Virginia Tech, Miami, Georgia) and are 7-2 in those nine games. The Jackets have also won five series against top-30 teams and all but one series loss has come against top-35 teams.
- Against ACC teams currently ranked in the top 30 in the RPI, Georgia Tech owns a series sweep over No. 4 Virginia Tech and series wins against No. 7 Miami (Fla.), No. 12 Georgia, No. 16 North Carolina, and No. 29 Florida State.
